Whole long red Camargue rice is a tasty and original product renowned for its nutritional values and taste qualities.

Whole red rice

Whole red rice has retained its protective covering, which gives it an astonishing, slightly crunchy texture. This food is highly sought after for its nutritional values.

Reputed to be more digestible, more dietary, but also rich in flavors, complete long red Camargue rice goes well with all hot and cold dishes, often as an accompaniment to fish or in salads.

Since it has retained its husk, this whole red rice requires a significantly longer cooking time than white and semi-whole rice.

Whole long red Camargue rice

Camargue red rice is characterized by its long grains with delicate aromas. Their great softness contrasts with the crunch offered by the first envelope when you bite. The result is refined, in the mouth and on the plate.

This red Camargue rice with its unique flavors and unique coloring has won over great chefs well beyond its borders. For example, we find Camargue red rice in typical recipes of Camargue cuisine, but also in contemporary creations for a complete culinary experience with attention to the balance of flavors and colors.

Cooking Camargue whole red rice

Complete long red Camargue rice can be prepared in pilaf or Creole cooking. For Creole cooking, you need 35 minutes in a large volume of boiling water.

Colorful Camargue rices can be mixed together. They are particularly used in cold salad preparations. However, to avoid distorting the original colors of Camargue rice, it is advisable to cook them separately.

In the case of whole red rice, this prevents the coloring of the cooking water from changing the color of other varieties of rice.
